After completing both a Bachelor’s Degree in Music & Trumpet Performance from Morehouse College and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from Georgia State University, Jimmy launched his professional career as a trumpet player- both as a solo and backing artist- and as an artist, songwriter, and lyricist. For the past 10 years, Jimmy has toured, performed, and recorded with Grammy-award winning artist Bruno Mars, playing the trumpet and performing background vocals in three world tours to date. He has also launched two projects as a solo artist: His Pathway: The Singles EP and, most recently, A Dreamer’s Tale, which was released on December 18, 2020. A Dreamer’s Tale is a musical celebration of the highs and lows of the human experience and highlight Jimmy’s talent for both lyricism and songwriting. The project is currently available on all streaming platforms. Jimmy is currently promoting A Dreamer’s Tale and resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
